Saddlery Manufacturing Machines For Thick Leather Cutting And Harness Production

Saddlery manufacturing — saddles, harnesses, bridles, reins and equestrian equipment — places some of the most demanding requirements on flexible material machines: thick leather cutting up to 10 mm, precise bevel skiving for clean folding, hot crease-lining for decoration and heavy-duty strap cutting for load-bearing components. Suteau-Anver has equipped saddlery workshops and harness production lines since its founding in 1947.

Our Solutions For Saddlery

Suteau-Anver covers every stage of saddlery manufacturing — from hide preparation to leather shaping, decoration and assembly — with its own design-and-manufacture machines and long-standing specialist partner solutions.

For thick leather cutting of saddle panels, bridle components and harness pieces, the SA F60 hydraulic clicker press (27 tonnes, 500 x 500 mm working surface, Suteau-Anver design and manufacture) and the SA 12 hydraulic travelling head press (up to 2 500 mm, 25 to 32 tonnes) deliver consistent die-cutting on the thickest vegetable-tanned and bridle leathers used in equestrian equipment manufacturing. The LM 10 SUPER assisted swing-arm press (ARES, distributed by Suteau-Anver) provides an ergonomic manual thick leather cutting solution for artisan saddlery workshops — with minimal operator effort on heavy-gauge hides.

For strap cutting of reins, girths, stirrup leathers and harness straps, the T-series strip cutting machines (T 500 to T 1200, 2 mm to 1 200 mm wide) are the dedicated strap cutting solution — cutting leather straps from 2 mm to 1 200 mm wide in single or multiple layers, from rolls or hides. For precise length cutting of webbing and synthetic harness straps, the HC 380 automatic guillotine and OMAC 995 FCID PLC cut at up to 130 cycles per minute.

For leather shaping and thickness preparation, the CAMOGA 520L+ leather splitting machine (CAMOGA, distributed by Suteau-Anver) delivers uniform thickness calibration across all saddlery leather grades, and the GALLI RCB BAG skiving machine performs single-side bevelling of bag handles, straps and harness components for clean, professional folding and assembly.

For harness production decoration and crease-lining, the RIG/C hot crease-lining machine (Suteau-Anver design and manufacture) delivers continuous hot filet decoration on straight lines, concave and convex curves and asymmetric shapes — with interchangeable rollers and irons for all saddlery profile requirements. The MP 78 hot creasing machine extends this with continuous strip cutting, zig-zag cutting and braid stamping in a single machine.

For seam consolidation and finishing, the COLLI BS4/BS5 beating and hammering machines (distributed by Suteau-Anver) flatten and consolidate stitched seams and edges on saddlery articles — cold or hot, with foot pedal control and leather support table.
