Complete die cutting cuts entirely through the material and its backing: each piece is fully separated from the waste at the end of the stroke. Kiss cutting cuts only through the material, leaving the backing sheet intact. After weeding, the pieces remain positioned on their backing, making handling and packaging easier. This kiss cutting process is particularly suited to self-adhesive materials, labels and all applications where the pieces must remain in position after cutting. A kiss cutting machine is therefore an essential tool for flexible material producers requiring both precision and downstream process simplicity.
