Roll Forming Machine And Profiling Machine For Foam And Flexible Materials — Fecken-Kirfel By Suteau-Anver
A roll forming machine for foam operates on a fundamentally different principle from metal roll forming: flexible material is compressed between profiled rollers before being cut by a band knife — releasing into its final three-dimensional profile upon exit. This compression profiling technology delivers complex geometries with zero material waste and perfect reproducibility, batch after batch.
Our Profiling Machines
Suteau-Anver distributes the complete Fecken-Kirfel profiling machine range — the German reference for contour shaping and precision profile cutting of foam and flexible materials.
The D 21 and D 31 profiling machines are the reference roll forming machines for foam sheet profiling up to 300 mm thick, including high-density foams. Their cast iron construction and specially formed band-knife beams deliver maximum robustness in intensive production. The profiled rollers have a particularly large diameter — resisting high pressures without deflecting, guaranteeing a consistent profile height across the full sheet width. The band knife adjusts automatically, maintaining a constant relationship between the material, the feed rollers and the blade throughout the knife’s full working life. The profiled rings are interchangeable — enabling fast changeover from one geometry to another in minutes, without a toolmaker.
Materials processed by the D 21 and D 31 include flexible PU foam, rebond foam, cork, granulated rubber, PE and EVA. The D 31 handles slabs up to 300 mm thick and 3 800 kg machine weight — the roll former solution for the most demanding foam and rubber profiling applications. By replacing the profiled rollers with smooth rollers, both machines convert instantly to standard horizontal splitting mode — two machines in one investment.
The D 5 profiling machine extends structured cutting capability to three-dimensional profiles — symmetrical and asymmetrical moulded parts, mattress profiles and egg-crate foam. PU polyether foam, polyester foam and rebond foam are all processed with the same compression principle.
The D 6 profiling attachment (for the H 24 A horizontal splitting machine) adds hump and zig-zag profile capability directly to an existing splitting machine — producing profiled slabs of flexible PU foam, open-cell PVC foam and rebond foam for the packaging and construction industries without a dedicated profiling machine investment.
As the official French distributor of Fecken-Kirfel, Suteau-Anver supports you from machine selection through to installation, operator training and after-sales service, with spare parts in stock.
Benefits Of Profiling Machines
Zero material waste: the compression profiling principle uses the full thickness of the slab — unlike cutting-based profiling, no foam is removed and no offcuts are generated
Roll forming machine consistency: large-diameter profiled rollers resist deflection under pressure — consistent profile height from edge to edge across the full slab width
Precision profile cutting versatility: interchangeable profiled rings enable fast changeover between geometries — no toolmaker, no additional investment for each new profile
Sheet metal roll former logic applied to foam: the same compression-and-release principle used in sheet metal roll forming is here applied to flexible materials — delivering industrial repeatability on foam profiles
French distribution by Suteau-Anver: installation, training and after-sales service delivered directly by Suteau-Anver’s own technicians in France
