Arm Press And Swing-Arm Cutting Press For Leather And Flexible Materials

The swing-arm press — or arm press — is the backbone of leather goods, footwear, saddlery and flexible material workshops worldwide. Its pivoting head swings freely over the entire working surface, giving the operator total freedom to position the die anywhere on the material — maximising yield and enabling precise manual swing-arm cutting on pieces of any shape or format.

Our Swing-Arm Cutting Presses

Suteau-Anver offers three swing-arm press solutions of its own design and manufacture, or from long-standing distribution partners — covering artisan workshops through to industrial production environments.

The SA F35 hydraulic swing-arm press (Suteau-Anver design and manufacture) is the entry-level arm press in the Suteau-Anver range. With a maximum cutting force of 12 tonnes and a working surface of 330 x 300 mm, it is the reference leather clicker press for small workshops, sample rooms and quality control stations. Its wheel-encoder potentiometer allows precise, repeatable cutting force adjustment, and it is available in swing-arm or fixed-arm configuration. An optional Allen Bradley sensitive control is available for intuitive bi-manual operation. Compatible with forged and filet-wood dies on all flexible materials — leather, synthetic, foam, rubber, textile, felt, cardboard and plastic.

The SA F60 hydraulic swing-arm press (Suteau-Anver design and manufacture) is the mid-range swing-arm cutting press for leather goods and footwear workshops requiring greater power and working area. With a maximum cutting force of 27 tonnes on a 500 x 500 mm surface, it handles thick materials and larger dies with equal precision. Its robust construction — 855 kg, 1 000 x 1 000 mm footprint — delivers industrial-grade durability in a compact format. Available in swing-arm or fixed-arm configuration with the same option package as the SA F35.

The LM 10 SUPER assisted swing-arm clicker press (ARES, distributed by Suteau-Anver) is the benchmark flexible head cutting solution for all-round workshop use. Its assisted swing arm reduces operator effort to a minimum, making it the natural choice for intensive daily manual swing-arm cutting across multiple material types and die formats. Ergonomic, fully CE-secured on its entire perimeter and immediately operational without training, it covers all applications from small leather goods components to large shoe upper patterns. Available in CE and non-CE versions.

All three swing-arm press models are compatible with forged steel dies and filet-wood dies, and accept materials up to the maximum clearance height — leather, synthetics, foam, rubber, cardboard, textile and composites.

Benefits Of Swing-Arm Presses

Flexible head cutting freedom: the pivoting arm reaches every point of the working surface — maximising material yield by placing the die exactly where needed, batch after batch

Leather clicker press precision: wheel-encoder potentiometer and repeatable cut-point setting deliver identical cut depth on every stroke — critical for luxury leather goods quality

Manual swing-arm cutting ergonomics: the assisted arm of the LM 10 SUPER minimises physical effort during intensive daily cutting — reducing operator fatigue and musculoskeletal risk

Three-press range: from 12 tonnes for small series to 27 tonnes for thick materials — one Suteau-Anver arm press range covers every leather goods and footwear workshop requirement

French manufacture: the SA F35 and SA F60 are designed and built by Suteau-Anver — after-sales service and spare parts delivered directly by our own technicians
