Before being turned, folded or shaped, leather must be made sufficiently supple to withstand handling without cracking or distorting. Steam humidification is the reference technique for achieving this material control safely, with fully adjustable parameters that are reproducible at every production cycle.
Our Types Of Humidification Machines
We offer two complementary pieces of equipment depending on the type of parts to be treated and the level of control required.
The SA 48/2 humidification cabinet, designed and manufactured by Suteau-Anver, is intended for the moistening of flat pieces or complete bags and luggage, to facilitate their turning or folding. Hot air and steam in circulation are produced by a bank of resistances and two immersion heating elements in a constant-level water tank. Circulation of the air-steam mixture is ensured by a stainless steel fan. Air temperature and steam output are electronically adjustable, and steam production can be inhibited as required. The entire unit — built entirely in stainless steel — rests on four self-locking castors with height adjustment.
The OMAC E75 STM humidification cabinet is a more advanced solution, equipped with a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) for precise management of humidity level, cycle time, energy consumption and water level. Its design guarantees uniform steam distribution across the full surface of the leather, avoiding any variation that could compromise the quality of the finished piece.
