The 408 / 409 / 489 curving stations are machines designed and manufactured by Suteau-Anver, in the catalog since the company was founded. They are designed for women’s, men’s and children’s footwear manufacturers, for the reactivation, curving and complete wiping of the lasting margin in cemented lasting.
Curving is a key step in making footwear lasted by gluing or bonding: it consists of heating and forming the upper around the last to prepare for lasting. Reactivation heats the glue already applied and dried to make it tacky again, while wiping folds the upper margin and glues it under the sole. These combined operations (reactivation, curving and wiping) are carried out in a single station for a productivity of 800 to 1,400 pairs in 8 hours.
The stations are equipped with punches and formers suited to the models used, supplied by Suteau-Anver, guaranteeing a perfect fit to each shoe shape. They cover a very wide range of models: preparation for children’s, women’s and men’s shoes, boots, sandals and KNEIPP lasting.
The range comes in 9 configurations (408 TS, 408 TM, 408 TSM, 408 TSMP, 409 G, 409 GP, 409 K, 489 TSMG, 489 TSMGB) combining, depending on the version: heated punches and formers, timer, pulling pincers, cooling punches, semi-wiping and complete wiping.
