The BS4 and BS5 models are cold or hot beating and hammering machines, developed by COLLI and distributed by Suteau-Anver. Beating is an essential leather preparation operation in leather goods, saddlery and footwear: it consists of flattening and consolidating the seams, edges and folds of assembled parts through the repeated action of a mechanical hammer, cold or hot depending on the material and the desired result. This operation improves the flatness, hold and visual appearance of the seam on the finished product.
Mounted on a stand with a working height of approximately 1 meter in the standard version, the machine is fitted with a control pedal that frees both of the operator’s hands for guiding and handling the parts, improving beating precision. Its leather holding shelf stabilizes the parts during the operation for a consistent, uniform result.
Optionally, the electric telescopic stand allows the working surface height to be adjusted from approximately 830 mm in the low position to approximately 1,260 mm in the high position, for perfect ergonomics whatever the operator’s size.
