The Model 93 roughing machine is a roughing/sanding machine designed and manufactured by Suteau-Anver, built with a 300 mm working width and dedicated to three complementary application sectors.
In the footwear sector, it was originally used for roughing soles before gluing and bonding, an essential operation for activating the sole surface and guaranteeing maximum glue adhesion before assembly with the upper.
In the leather goods sector, it removes a thin layer of material by roughing or sanding on leather and synthetic parts, to prepare surfaces before gluing or assembly.
In the marine industry, it is used to sand rubberized fabric before gluing inflatable boats and coated-fabric articles, to activate the surface and guarantee the strength of the assemblies.
Its upper roller drives the part between itself and the front table: the part to be sanded is lightly pinched and driven automatically, with no effort from the operator. The roller has 2 speeds: 7 rpm at low speed for precision work and 19 rpm at high speed for sustained-rate production.
A dust vacuum unit can be connected at the bottom of the roller guard through a 120 mm connection diameter, for a clean, safe workstation, ideal in combination with the Suteau-Anver Model 19 TER fire-safe vacuum unit for footwear workshops.
