Calendering And Calender Machine For Leather, Textile And Flexible Materials
Calendering subjects material to control pressure between rollers to smooth it, even out its thickness and improve its surface finish. Essential in leather goods, saddlery and footwear manufacturing, it is a key preparation step that directly determines the quality of the assembled parts that follow.
Our Types Of Calendering Machines
We distribute the OMAC calender machine range — a long-standing Suteau-Anver partner of several decades. These machines are used in the leather goods and footwear sectors. They enable the calendering, coupling and pressing of materials of different types and thicknesses, including irregular materials. Materials processed: leather, synthetic leather, fabric, cardboard — covering both textile calendering and paper calendering applications as well as all flexible materials used in the luxury goods and footwear industries.
The range offers three models according to working width and production requirements: the 30C and 30CV PNT models (300 mm rollers), the 45C and 45CV PNT models (450 mm rollers) and the 60C and 60CV PNT models (600 mm rollers) for the widest working widths. The CV PNT variants incorporate pneumatic pressure adjustment between the rollers, enabling even more precise surface uniformity according to the material and thickness being processed — a feature that sets them apart from basic calender machine solutions on the market.
While the OMAC range is primarily designed for leather, synthetic leather and fabric, the calendering principle it applies is identical to that used in rubber calendering and PVC calendering in industrial manufacturing — controlled pressure between precision rollers to achieve consistent surface finish and uniform thickness. This makes the OMAC calender machine a reference solution for any workshop or production line processing flexible sheet materials that require surface quality control before cutting or assembly.
Ergonomic modifications have been made to the machines distributed by Suteau-Anver: removable secured guards facilitating roller cleaning, and single-direction disengagement for manual roller rotation. A permanent stock of OMAC spare parts is maintained to guarantee production continuity.
The Advantages Of Calendering Machines
Smoothing and uniformity: the pressure between the rollers homogenizes the thickness and surface finish of the material across its full width — the fundamental benefit of calendering for leather and fabric calendering applications alike.
Material versatility: natural leather, synthetic leather, textile, cardboard — a single calender machine processes multiple materials without tooling changes.
Coupling capability: OMAC calender machines also allow two materials to be laminated together in a single pass — adding a bonding function to the surface finishing operation.
Simplified maintenance: removable guards and a permanent spare parts stock ensure fast interventions and a permanently operational tool.
As the official French distributor of OMAC, Suteau-Anver supports you from machine selection through to installation, operator training and after-sales service, with spare parts available in stock for immediate dispatch.
