Our history, more than 70 years of industrial innovation
Since 1947, SUTEAU-ANVER has designed and manufactured machines for the soft materials industry.
Born from a family workshop, the company has grown, diversified and opened up internationally while keeping its technical standards and its close relationship with customers.
1947 — The origins
A family business dedicated to footwear machinery
Founded in 1947, SUTEAU-ANVER began as a sewing-machine repair workshop.
Based in the Mauges region, then strongly shaped by the footwear industry, the company gradually developed its own equipment to improve manufacturing processes.
1972 – 1993 — Industrial development
Diversification and a structured service department
1972: The company found new outlets in the textile industry with the quilting machine.
1993: Development of the manufacture and sale of machines for the footwear industry.
The after-sales department was structured and a spare-parts store was created, ensuring a fast response in the event of a breakdown.
2000 – 2017 — Expansion & diversification
European expansion and a wider range of markets
2000: Commercial development in Europe (Germany, Spain, Benelux, Austria).
2005: Creation of Ouest Agro Technologie (OAT), a subsidiary specialising in machines for the food industry.
2009: David RIBAULT becomes Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
2016: Extension and modernisation of the premises (workshop, offices, showroom).
2017: Integration of the company Houlet, completing the machine range and strengthening the commercial and technical presence.
2020 – Today — Proximity & performance
A stronger international presence and a commitment to customers
2020: Opening of an office in Warsaw to strengthen the presence in Europe.
2022: Creation of an after-sales team in the Lyon area, confirming the focus on customer proximity and service excellence.
