The BAF 215 model is an automatic edge folding machine developed by TECMA and distributed by Suteau-Anver, dedicated to automatic folding of edges (mignon) in leather goods and footwear. Edge folding consists of automatically folding the edge of a leather or synthetic part back on itself, the “mignon”, to obtain a clean, even edge. This preparation operation is fundamental to the finishing quality of bags, wallets, belts and fine leather goods.
The BAF 215 stands out for its operational versatility: it performs edge folding with or without adhesive tape and with or without reinforcement cord, depending on production needs and the strength requirements of the edge being processed. The reinforcement cord inserted in the fold produces a stiffer, stronger edge, ideal for luggage and saddlery items requiring greater long-term hold.
Its double transport ensures regular, constant feeding of the part into the folding zone, at a maximum speed of 15 m/min for high productivity in series production. Its upper rubber roller and lower nylon roller guarantee smooth, precise driving of all materials processed, without slippage or deformation. It is supplied with 1 set of folders suited to the customer’s production, configured and tested before shipment.
